This one again taken during the trek last week. The tent where we were staying in the forest had a stream flowing nearby. The Sun had set and it was getting dark very fast when we got there. The lighting i thought was perfect for a long exposure shot. I've been trying for a long time to get a snap like this. Do let me know what you think about this and if i could have done something better.

This Photo was taken during the trek last week in the western ghats in Kerala, South India.
It was a day long trek and this photo was taken just before we reached the summit. The atmosphere was so beautiful that its hard to descibe it in words.

This place along with lots of other forest reserves in Kerala is home to lot of tribal people and The government is doing a very good job of providing them with employement in an eco freindly manner.
The whole program was arranged by the govt with the help of the tribals and govt helps the tribals by providing treking equipments, tents, etc.. The tribals are not paid salary but they get 90% of the money that we trekkers pay for the program.

Came back from Kodaikanal Today morning. The trip was great - enjoyed every moment ;) However, couldn't see the ocean of Kurinji flowers - the season has ended ;( This is a snap of the flowers left over. Guess I have to join the Munnar Trip to really experience it.
