Nubra valley
Ladakh ("land of high passes and once part of the Silk Route") is a region in the state of Jammu and Kashmir in Northern India sandwiched between the Karakoram mountain range to the north and the Himalayas to the south.
This photo was taken from Nubra valley, which is towards the north and about 130 kms from Leh. This is also one of those rare places where you can see the bactrian camels (two-humped) and also one of the very few places where you find greenery in Ladakh. To reach Nubra valley, you have to pass Khardung La pass, which is the highest motorable road in the world.
